What is Vorn Equipment
Vorn Equipment is a Norwegian company formed in 2012. It produces backpacks based on a patent, called Quick
Rifle Release – QRR, developed in 2009 by Managing Director, Eirik Andersen.
The QRR system enables the hunter to carry a weapon comfortably and well protected in the backpack, and
simultaneously have it ready to discharge within 2 seconds. This operation is undertaken calmly and smoothly without
drawing undue attention to oneself.
Vorn introduced its first backpack in 2012 it is called Hjort (Norwegian for deer) and has a capacity of 42 litres. This
year a new compact backpack called Gaupe (Norwegian for lynx) has been introduced. It has an adjustable capacity
from 12 to 20 litres.
Vorn Equipment is currently working on a project in cooperation with the Norwegian Armed Forces. The product
being developed is a separate module with QRR which can be mounted on the side of larger backpacks. This
product will also be ready for the civilian market later this year
